Gina Mennett Lee, M.Ed. offers expert witness and consultation services in the specialized area of food allergies in the school setting.
Gina is an experienced elementary, middle school, and special education teacher. She also holds her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and completed an internship as K-8 Principal. She has an intimate knowledge of how schools function and the demands places on educational professionals within the school system. She is also the President & Founder of Food Allergy Education Network, a Connecticut-based non-profit dedicated to educating the public about food allergies and providing resources to parents and caregivers.
As a professional food allergy educator and consultant, she has provided services to preschool providers, daycare providers, home care sites, teachers, principals, PTA leaders, school nurses, and other professionals regarding food allergy management. With the perspectives of both a food allergy expert and a former teacher, she is able to provide clear, uniquely informed testimony regarding the responsibility of the school to identify and accommodate children with food allergies and what is considered “reasonable” based on best practice in the field of food allergy management.
Gina served as expert witness in the landmark Iowa food allergy case, Knudsen v. Tiger Tots Community Child Care Center Corporation.
